College Enrollment Program: Concurrent Enrollment at Westland
Westland students have the opportunity to participate in Concurrent Enrollment through Maricopa Community Colleges, allowing them to earn college credits while still completing high school. This program provides valuable exposure to college-level coursework and helps students get ahead in their academic journey.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for Concurrent Enrollment, students must:
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.5
- Obtain a teacher recommendation
- Demonstrate a college-level work ethic through:
- Consistent completion of assignments
- Strong attendance
- Positive behavior and discipline record
Enrollment Procedure
- Schedule a meeting with administration to review your eligibility
- Apply to Maricopa Community Colleges to receive a student ID number and MEID (username)
- Provide a color copy of a valid photo ID for identity verification
- Complete the Special Admissions Form for Maricopa Community Colleges
- Submit your high school transcript
- Take the ACCUPLACER placement test at a Maricopa Community College testing center
- Qualify for placement into at least ENG 101 and Intermediate College Algebra (MAT 122)
- Complete the Financial Responsibility & Parent/Guardian Consent Form*

- MAT 151 – College Algebra / Functions
- MAT 187 – Precalculus
- ENG 101 – First-Year Composition, Part I
- ENG 102 – First-Year Composition, Part II
- SPA 101 – Elementary Spanish I
- SPA 102 – Elementary Spanish II
- HIS 101 – Western Civilization: Middle Ages to 1789
- HIS 102 – Western Civilization: 1789 to Present
